Mobile car detailing is designed to bring the service to your home or workplace, but a useful visit starts before anyone arrives. The car, location and package all matter. A short, clear conversation prevents you from choosing a service based only on a broad label.

Start with what you want cleaned

You do not need to know the perfect detailing term. Describe what you see: a tired cabin, sandy carpets, marks on seats, dirty wheels, dull glass or a car that needs inside and outside handled together. Chris & Co. can then point you toward Interior Only, Exterior Only or a full detail.

That description is more useful than trying to diagnose the job yourself. A clear “the seats and carpet are the priority” gives a different starting point from “the outside is clean enough, but the wheels and glass need attention.” It also gives you room to mention an area you do not want treated.

The car detailing guide explains the differences in more depth. The most practical distinction is whether you want the cabin, exterior or both addressed.

Your location needs water and power

Chris & Co. currently asks for access to water and power at the home or workplace. Make sure there is a practical place to work around the vehicle, and mention anything unusual about the driveway or parking arrangement when you contact Chris. If you are near the edge of the service area, include your suburb.

For workplace visits, it is sensible to check that the parking space and access are available for the time discussed. For home visits, move anything that blocks access around the car. These are practical checks, not promises about a particular job duration or site suitability.

The current mobile coverage includes North Shore, Ōrewa, Silverdale, Millwater, Milldale, Red Beach, Whangaparāoa, Stanmore Bay, Warkworth, Wainui, Waitoki and Kaukapakapa. You can check the service-area page for the full list.

Take personal belongings out first

Removing personal items before the visit gives the cleaner access to carpet, seats, door pockets and the boot. It also means you can decide what should stay in the car. If there is a specific stain, material or concern, point it out when you make contact instead of assuming it belongs in every package.

This small preparation step also protects your own belongings and prevents the visit becoming a search through loose items. Keep anything you need for the day with you, then leave the cabin and boot clear enough for the relevant areas to be reached.

Compare inclusions before you choose

The current prices are NZ$75 for Interior Only or Exterior Only, NZ$119 for Premium and NZ$179 for Platinum. Those prices do not all represent the same work. Compare the full inclusions to see exactly what is listed, including Platinum’s deeper interior and exterior additions.

Contact, then confirm the right next step

Use the booking-request calendar to choose a preferred time, then share your vehicle, suburb and anything you want discussed. Chris confirms the service details directly, which is the right time to make sure the package and practical setup suit your situation.
